There are several things that drive me at being the voice of OCTOBER FREQUENCY.
1st and foremost  I'd never want to be a part of this if it wasn't for the wonderful group of guys involved. I've always wanted to play in a band that is serious but lite hearted and knows how to have fun. We spend the better part of our week at our day jobs pushing 9 to 5 and hating it so when it comes time to play we try and make the most of it. We've all been in and out of bands before and we all know when and where to draw the line when things get to intense. Not to say that we don't work hard at what we do. Anyway you get what I'm saying...

I've been a big fan of BLACK SABBATH since I was a kid. I think I 1st caught on to them when I was around 13 or so, soon after a friend got me into Slayer, Mega-deth, bands like that. I think it was the gruesome album covers and dark apocalyptic attitude that 1st drew my interest....later I really started to appreciate the dynamics of  their music.
My dad bought me my 1st guitar when I was 15, a B.C. Rich Warlock, black finish.
By that time I was really into the Misfits, Black Flag and DK. I never had the patience to set down and learn to read or write Tab.  I've always played by ear.
But then I've always played everything I do in life by ear. I think we all do, some of people's greatest achievements have come about we they stop over analyzing and just do it.
I stopped kicking around with the Guitar in my early 20s when I fell in love with SKINNY PUPPY. What can I possibly say about such a phenomenal group. It's like they ditched the current ideology of song writing at the time and approached it as if each sound they made was another color being thrown on a canvas. To me they will always be the frontiers of Soundscaping.
So after ten years of being a fanatic music lover and garage musician I discovered that Singing was what I was really suppose to do. For me it will always be the best way to express myself. No matter what I have or haven't accomplished through the week I'll always have that one hour on the weekend to just slip back into the distortion and pour my heart out.  It's a wonderful opportunity, to confess my deepest fears to so many people at once and then walk away as though it never happened.
I use to keep up with current events around the world but I figure as long as bush is in office I'll just catch the latest issues through south park...
